Don’t Tag Me
FCB Baku
Campaign: Don’t Tag Me
Brand: Kapital Bank, BirBank
Year: 2021
The problem at hand is the prevalence of cyberbullying targeting women in Azerbaijan, leading to thousands of women losing their self-confidence due to attacks on social media platforms.
To address this issue, Kapital Bank launched an awareness movement on Women’s Day, focusing on the impact of cyberbullying on women’s potential. The “Don’t Tag Me” campaign featured prominent women in the business world closing their Instagram photos with stereotyped words of bullying, shedding light on the obstacles faced by successful women. Additionally, they temporarily disabled tagging and comment sections on their Instagram accounts for 48 hours.
To amplify our message, we developed a filter that eradicates toxic comments with a simple nod, promoting positivity and discouraging cyberbullying.
The campaign garnered significant attention in Azerbaijan and received widespread support from women. Following the initial phase, Kapital Bank organized seminars and workshops led by local and international professionals to further address the issue. These sessions have empowered hundreds of women, providing them with renewed motivation to pursue their goals, overcome obstacles, and build a brighter future for themselves.
Through ongoing efforts, we aim to create a safer and more supportive online environment for women, empowering them to thrive and succeed without the fear of cyberbullying hindering their progress.
